GYMNASTICS & PROGRAMS

GYM KIDS (8 months – 5 years)
The Gym Kids curriculum has five different classes within its program. The focus is on the young child and his or her basic developmental needs. The “themed” lessons change every two weeks and are specifically designed for each age group to meet physical, cognitive and social objectives.

Diaper Daredevils* Walking-2 years

RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS (5-18 years)
Black Diamond offers gymnastics instruction for girls and boys of all ability levels. Lesson plans incorporate activities on many pieces of apparatus including vault, bars, balance beam, tumbling, mini trampoline and rings. Class levels are based on age and skill ability. The order of classes is as follows:

Beginning Girls & Boys partner with Basin Recreation
Girls White 5 years +
Girls Green 6 years +
Girls Blue 8 years +
Girls Black 8 years +
In an effort to appropriately challenge our students, all school-aged classes are skill evaluated every 10-12 weeks.



PRE-COMPETITVE PROGRAMS
Also known as developmental or “devo” programs, Black Diamond has pre-competitive programs in women’s artistic gymnastics, men’s and women’s tumbling and trampoline (TnT) and aerial skiing (Aer Devo). Registration for these classes is by invitation only. Students wishing to be considered for any of Black Diamond’s pre-competitive programs may schedule an evaluation with the appropriate department at the front office.

Gymnastics Mighty Mites, Bronze, Silver & Gold
Black Diamond is known for its attention to detail and strong basics. In addition to an all-inclusive curriculum, students on this track will be exposed to in-house “competition” and exhibitions
TnT Mighty Mites, Dynamites
Black Diamond has qualified over 25 athletes to the national championships over the last 5 years. These athletes are and were products of the TnT developmental program. This is only possible in a curriculum with emphasis on strength, flexibility and proper skill progression
